So you've decided to become a patient at Broomfield Family Chiropractic.  You've made a great decision!  The first step to take is to give us a call at 720-DOC-BACK (720-362-2225) and set up your free consultation.  Before your consultation, we ask that you fill out our intake forms.  These can be emailed to you for your convenience, saving time at your initial visit, or they are available in the office. 

During your consultation, Dr. Mike will sit down and listen, really listen, to you.  We will determine if your is likely to benefit from chiropractic care.  If we determine that chiropractic is right for you, we will then conduct a thorough history and examination to determine the cause of your health problems.  Using specific, evidence informed guidelines, we will determine if x-rays are necessary.  X-rays are usually taken in our office, but if advanced imaging or laboratory tests are necessary you may be referred to an outside facility.  After all of the above is finished, patients with active health problems will be released for the day.  We do this so that Dr. Mike can review all of the information gathered on your health condition to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan.  Patients beginning a maintenance or wellness course of care may or may not  be treated on the same day. 

On your next visit we will sit down together and review the clinical findings, diagnosis, and recommended treatment plan.  If we agree on the recommended course of care, treatment will begin.  Typically the first visit takes about one hour, depending on the severity of your health condition and whether x-rays are necessary.  Your second visit will take approximately half an hour.  Subsequent visits can last anywhere from five up to twenty minutes, depending on your treatment plan and the procedures we will be utilizing.
